I was alerted to this fine short video by Michael Wesch on You Tube which captures the changes in how we find, store, and share information. (Thanks to IFTF).

Here’s his description of Information R/evolution.

“This video explores the changes in the way we find, store, create, critique, and share information. This video was created as a conversation starter, and works especially well when brainstorming with people about the near future and the skills needed in order to harness, evaluate, and create information effectively.”

Michael Wesch is Assistant Professor of Cultural Anthropology at Kansas University, where among other things they’re working on a digital ethnography of You Tube – research videos are posted on their site.

Wesch was also responsible for the Web 2.0 … The Machine is Us/ing Us video which was widely viralled at the beginning of the year.
