Today people are (overly)concerned about health and safety- from diets to over immunizations to toys.

People not paying attention to the crack they were warned about is like someone crossing the street at a do not walk. The museum should have a non-liability form or some such to protect themselves. I agree, the effect wouldn’t be the same if a bridge or barriers were added. But it would be a comment on just how cautious public places need to be in today’s age of paranoia.

Thanks for posting this. I hope to catch Salcedo’s and Greer’s works sometime.
