Because otherwise you’re probably partly seeing a reflection of age affecting the likelihood in voting Conservatism, given that overall older people are generally more likely to be in poor health. There are a lot of prosperous areas along the South Coast that are very blue and where a lot of people retire to that may be affecting those statistics.
